RKC and IBD: 19 Days

Into the Teens – August 7, 2012

It’s getting closer! I am getting excited for the RKC weekend here in San Diego.

After yesterday’s frustrating 5 minute snatch test I was eager to get back into the gym and train again. I needed to put yesterday behind me, realize that I am still making solid gains, and that I will continue to improve.

I continued to perform the Turkish Get Up with a 28kg bell today – it still feels great. I also felt very strong and solid throughout today’s workout.

  • Double kettlebell clean + push press – 24kg bells
  • Single leg squats
  • Bodyweight rows from ropes
  • Single arm Swings – 40kg bell
  • (there were more exercises and the above were done for multiple sets)

This workout was a great comeback from yesterday. I left feeling strong (multiple single arm swings with a 40kg bell helped with that) and I left excited to come back again tomorrow.

Pretty sure I’ll be working on my snatches again…and I’m really looking forward to that.
